SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Women's International is not just about charitable works; it is also very much about our members social interaction and, having fun too.  In addition to regular lunches, sun downer drinks and other get together events; listed below are some of the regular organised activities we do.

We also welcome our members introducing new activities so please feel free to contact us, and propose this, as we'd be happy to circulate new activities to all of our ladies to see if anyone would like to participate.

MAHJONG

Is a game that originated in China and is typically played by four players. We normally meet once a week on a Tuesday, and generally have at least two or three tables of players. We try to rotate the players around tables so we get to play with as many people as possible and also, so that the right skills levels get to play together.

TENNIS

A traditional favourite, the tennis players meet weekly at the Sofitel Hotel tennis courts. We have a regular group of six to eight ladies that play and new members of any skills level are welcome to attend. We have some decent standard players as well as beginners, so its a great chance to get some exercise and have some fun too.

CYCLING

A new activity favoured by a number of our members; Bike rides are organised usually weekly. With the fantastic Cambodian scenery on our door step, we often take a ferry and ride along the banks of the Mekong, visit nearby Silk Island and many other interesting places. Experienced or, inexperienced riders are welcome to join these fun outings.

TEMARI

Meaning "Hand Ball" in Japanese, Temari balls are a folk art form that first originated in China. The balls are decorative and were, originally, used in hand ball games. We have a number of ladies that meet regularly, usually weekly, to have coffee, chat and, create Temari balls. Anyone interested to learn is welcome to join.
