The WIG grant was used to repair their Medtronic hand drill as well as purchase cutting burs for the drill. The hand drill with burs is an important piece of equipment that is used to drill away bone in order to overcome blocked views during middle ear surgery. The all-female ENT team is now able to efficiently perform ear surgeries with proper equipment. Last year, CSC provided over 4,800 ENT consultations and over 200 ENT surgeries at no cost to patients and they expect these numbers to grow. WIG’s support enables CSC to continue to successfully tackle the backlog of ENT diseases in Cambodia and develop ENT surgery further.
